I know I am going to get the Black on Black Paper Active duty. This way when I get my off duty I'll have a matching pair. :D

I'm waitin on the Interchangable Handle kit to come out so I can switch depending on surroundings......... :p ;)

I'm with Skunkie. Satin and Black paper but without the logo if Jerry will ship them out that way :) :)

Damn now that is a good idea! I'll have to order one to match my Off Duty. :D Thanks for the idea FOS!

I ordered a NO with bead blasted finish and magnum black linen slabs. Can't wait to make a sheath for that baby!!!!!! :D

The first one is going to be a Desert Tan NO with Tiger Stripe Magnum handles.

I feel the magnetic drawing in of the FNO. I must have. However, I have a couple questions for you guys regarding the handle slabs.

I really like the black paper micarta. Methinks this would look very fine with either a double cut or satin blade. However, I've never felt any (black paper micarta that is...) Any opinions as to how the feel and usability would be with a blade of that size and those slabs? Other opinions? I'm sure someone out there has one...

Question two: Has anyone handled the magnum handles? How hefty are they? I'm not a big fan of huge fat handles. They tire my hands and forearms. I do, however, love the handles on the SHSH. They, very nicely, fill my hands. How do they compare? That said, I do like the slabs on my SHe too.

Okay, there it is. Help guide my rare coin.

Cheers,
BJB :D

I've been waiting to see a ton of posts about what people have ordered...so far just this. I thought it'd be a bigger "to do".

Here is what I have ordered:
One NO Black linen magnum with double cut blade and
one NO Tiger stripe magnum in desert tan

I only planned on ordering one, but the nice lady taking the order asked, "Just one?" ... she got me all excited and told me I was the first order. I'm sure she tells that to all the guys ;)

Actually I didn't plan on buying one yet at all. I was going to wait for the Fusion Heart, but this new NO is exactly what I was waiting for!
What I wished for was an old style straight handle Steel Heart with a 7" blade in INFI and more handle contour. Or an INFI version of a Basic7 with fatter, micarta handles and blade grind like my LE SJ. When I saw the Fusion outlaw it was as if Jerry was reading my mind!
I may have to sell one of my CG Satin Jacks to help pay some of the ransom.

I called the shop today looking for the big man, as he directed I might add. Not only did I not get to him at all today, I didn't even get my fix of sultry Kentucky drawl!!!!!!! Shaggi who is this Emily and why is she answering your phone? :D I suppose I will try to call again tomorrow, but I don't know if my heart can take it. :D Talk to you tomorrow.

What are the ETA on the blades for sale on the site?

And, please, no "two weeks", folks! :D

NO/Magnum Tiger Stripe/Double Cut.
Now that I have one on order, can someone please give me a description of what the double cut finish is?
Thanks, Chuck.

The Double Cut finish basically means bead blasted 2 times with varying weights of blast.

If I remember correctly:

1. When you bead blast a knife, the pores of the steel are open and the blade is more prone to rust.

2. For this reason, and maybe others as well, Jerry then blasts the blade with a larger glass bead. This closes the pores in the steel making it less prone to corrosion than normal bead blast procedures.

Hence the blade is Double Cut.

Been thinking about this all day - I know SAD !!!

Have decided to go for the SFNO with desert coating and Tigerstripe handle !!

DC and Satin is more prone to rust and I have fairly big hands !!

Cant wait !!

I thought that the first cut is taking the blade to a satin finish, then blasting it to a nice gray frost :) HMMMMMMM FROSTY...... :D
