I am always looking for a good way to carry my hardware while cycling. So I recently splurged on a chest sheath from survivalsheath.com Robert's work on this piece is great as usual.

The chest sheath and chest holster are both pretty comfortable while excercising because of the elastic built into the harness. Allows you to huff and puff without restriction.

It wears comfortably under a regular bike jersey and just makes it appear I might not do quite enough cycling (as in a belly). I employ this same tactic when I carry in waistband (appendix or crossdraw) under a loose shirt it just looks like I have a little spare tire under there.

unzipped you can see the knife.

Wow, very cool!

Can you post some more pics of how it straps on? Also, just how big are you!? That BK10 looks like a reasonably large knife that someone of my size (5'7") would probably look like a mutant rather than a guy with a bit of a tum. ;)

In the lower picture you can see the 3 straps, one on each side go around your chest and the third goes over your shoulder. the pictures at survivalsheath.com illustrate more clearly.

I have it rigged so the chest straps ride right under my man boobs, so the blade is in my cleavage and the bottom of the handle is right at my belly button while standing.
I am 6'2" and managed to "bulk up" to 175lbs lifting weights and indoor rowing this winter.

Robert advised this is about the largest knife he'd carry this way. I agree, the fat handle on the becker isn't ideally suited for this, but it works for me. Concealment isn't important, its being able to have it quickly at hand to hack weeds out of my favorite trails. Not stowed away in my backpack.

Gotcha... now I see.

Thanks for the info. Yeah... I don't think I could pull that off. The blade would be up by my neck and the handle somewhere uncomfortable.

;)

Very nifty carry though. Secure, doesn't sway, and easily accessible.

Nice sheath and great knife! I love mine, but I'm thinking of getting a kydex sheath of some sort for it. I wish *hint hint * they would include an all kydex belt sheath with a tec-loc....

I'm afraid if they spec'd beckers with a fancy kydex sheath it would probably double their price.

It was kind of hard to spend more than the cost of the knife on a sheath......

I can completely relate. Maybe for the Extreme line. Although, if they had Kydex sheaths from the start, and didn't bother at all with the nylon, they might still be able to sell Becker's at reasonable prices. Heck, I'd be more content with a Ka-Bar style leather sheath than the nylon one you get from the factory. :grumpy:
