I finally took a break from gun buying and picked up a new Buck. Didn't come with a box, but it is a 921 Custom skinner. Overall length is 7 3/4" w/ a 3 7/8" blade. I guess we won't see anymore of these Wilde Bill Cody BG-42 creations. I'm dying to give it the "Dave Martin Workout", and coat it with blood;) By any chance does anyone know whose name goes with the initials "JL" stamped in the choil of the blade, they have to work in the Custom shop.

Scott,That could be Mac.As he didn't use his name initals and put them in odd locations like that.I'd run it by Leroy he'd know. Thanks for posting a photo of that handsome skinner.DM

I've gone the other way...bidding on 4 GB auctions right now... ;)

Do you know for a fact that Wilde Bill won't work on Buck knives any more??? What have you heard??? (Yes, I read he was no longer associated with the Factory...) ;)

I received a comment on that little Parker knife I posted a pic of, that the pink/reddish tinge to the stag was due to blood absorbed by the porous antler...I know bone is porous and will absorb anything if it's not "sealed", but antler???

Wild Bill Cody is not employed with Buck is true..
the factory is saying that he will be makeing some
custom's or LE for them next year
grape vine hints that one that will be forth coming in 2010.
