Ok guys so I was at cabelas today browsig though their knives and to me my surprise they had two new skyline models! The cabelas exclusive blaze orange g10 skyline( little pricey at almost 50 bucks) and a skyline fixed blade!! Called the skyline fb!! It was a much thicker full tang 14c28n blade that was the same edge length as the folder with either black or blaze orange g10 scales.

I dont quite have the expenable dough right now all though I would love these knives. I picked up storm II for thelow low price of.....wait for it.....24.99!!!! American made, sandvik steel, stainless frame lock, 3 1/2inch recurve blade!! On clearance For 24.99! Awesome deal!

So there's a Skyline fixed bladed available? First I've heard of it, would like to see it..

I tried a google search and couldn't find anything on it....maybe a figment of someones imagination? Would be interesting though :D

Yeah I remember seeing it at Blade also. Pretty cool little fixed blade. I find smaller fixed blades get way more belt time and use than a lot of the larger ones in my collection.

SpiralArchitect has pics if you beg him he may share. As long as the pics don't get pilfered and posted elsewhere again.

No worries on these pics....... they were not hot enough to set the internet on fire like the Hinderer pics from a couple of years ago ;)

Also, this model is a Cabellas exclusive, IIRC. Hence the fact that they sell it for MSRP and you can't find specs anywhere else. It is a really nice knife and the sheaths are of good quality. I felt that the fixed Packrat would make a more versatile user and hunting knife (available all over the internet for about $35 in black and orange), but, all handle well and are nice and slim.

I assume it is still a prototype any. Do you have any specs on the fixed skyline? was it equal in size next to the folder?

All 3 of the knives are available right now. They are pretty much identical in size to their folding counterparts IIRC, but, you should check the specs to confirm.

great! Although i can't find any specs, info or even availability with a quick search.

Some nice kydex would be awesome for these fixed blades! Would make great neck knives. The orange skyline was really nice too. Justcouldnt bring my self to drop $50 on it.

I have been wanting a FB Skyline I loved the pic's from blade. A orange Handle would be even better. Was it $50 also? That is a bit much.

i just received a skyline today in the mail...i like it a lot.
great hand feel and sharp!

only question about the flipper...i can use my index finger and flip open the knife but need some wrist action to lock it into place...is this normal? or should the flipper lock into action with just the finger slide/press.
