New small edc and blade grind choice question

Hey everyone,

I received alot of help with another question concerning small fixed blade edcs and am very grateful. I don't mean to ask too many questions without contributing, but I am still in the learning stages with knives.
I am probably going to go with a Blind Horse Frontier First Patch knife (in a pocket sheath) and am trying to decide on grind for a general purpose/EDC knife.
My question is: Is a scandi grind a good choice for an edc knife? What would be the disadvantages, if not?
I wanted something that would be easy to learn knife sharpening skills on as well, so...I've read the scandis were the easiest.

What would you recommend?

Thanks again,
Sean

Probably won't make much difference as far as learning sharpening skills, but many people love full flat grinds (I am one of those people).

If you can find a hollow ground one, that would be my pick. They're more common in folders, though. The thin edge of an HG makes it a great slicer, but the thicker spine gives the blade strength. Also, because you don't have to remove as much material on a thinner edge, it will be easier to sharpen.
