My wedding anniversary is coming up soon, and my wife has hinted about needing a small knife. Restrictions are as follows: small blade 3" or smaller, under $40, folding blade that locks open, small enough to fit in her purse. Any suggestions? I have looked at a SOG twitch or blink, maybe a small spyderco. Thanks guys.

Deffinetly check out the boker subcom or the trance. Both knives are amazingly awsome for what they cost and both are on the smallish size. Best bang for the buck in a small blade, IMO.

Kershaw/Ken Onion Leek. Just a little over your budget (~$50 at KnifeCenter.com), but one of the best small knives there is.

But I'd recommend a kershaw chive or leek. Small, attractive (my girlfriend is halfway to purchasing a rainbow leek), and good enough for anything except hard use.

I gave my wife a spyderco dragonfly while we were dating she still has it on her keys, a little biger is the delica there are many smaller spydercos to choose from, check them out.

How about a Fallkniven U2. It's a bit over your budget. It runs in the high $40's. It's a lockback. Uses a nail knick to open. About 2.5" blade. 1.5 oz total wt. laminated steel blade with a center steel hardness of 62.

If you could go about 10 dollars more I would reccomend a Fallkniven U2. otherwise a small Kershaw or Spyderco could do the trick.

This one gets my vote too. Great steel!
