Great photos, as usual. Thank you.
It is HUGE! Can you take a photo of you standing on it on one foot for scale?
It looks like it is worth $40 now. $50 in a year, perhaps. Wouldn't hurt the display. No. I don't think that it would detract. Uh uh.
BTW, your photos were the last straw. I ordered over the phone this morning. There are thousands of the 50th anvils. You get one with each and every order over a C note but only one with each order.
Yep…I have another coming after receiving this one.
I tried and tried and tried to get a photo with me standing on top of it, but I'm too old to bend over that far.
You dog you. Bark, bark and barkity bark. Not surprising as you never buy just one of anything 50th. Wise move as the anvils look terrific and a real value IMHO.
However, hurrumph, when the second anvil arrives please, pretty please, stand with one foot on each in front of a mirror or have someone else snap the shot or use your camera's timer and round around. You are old, unfortunately, but you are not dead yet, fortunately for all of us. If you were dead then that would earn you a pass. Nice try.![]()
Hahahaha,
Or.... on January 1st 2015, after he has collected the myriad 50th anniversary knives, stand on the anvils as a symbolic portrait of victory![]()
Great idea Chris! Genius really. How many knives are you up to Stumps 70-75? Stumps, as far as I am aware, is the bull goose champion of all things 50th. Hurrah, hurrah and hurrah. Hail the champ!
Anvils... No other item in my collection means more to me than the glass facsimile of the Hoyt Buck anvil residing at the Buck factory museum. You are amazing in your artistic talent. You see a picture and then a scale model of the real thing enters the world. Bravo. You have my admiration for that incredible talent. I stand in awe.
