:D Just got this today. It has been a while since I decided to have one built. When my time came up, I changed my mind a bit and decided to have this clip version made rather than the originally envisioned spey.

Thanks to Keith for making me this knife. It's just as good as I expected. Thank you very much sir and have a great Christmas.

Elliott, for the advice and suggestions on this project and your help to all of us here - Thank you very much as well.

Now a couple photos to let you see what it looks like. First up is one of my trademark mediocre photos with my avatar canoe for size reference:

And now a couple of pics taken by Keith:

Chocolate paper micarta scales and 154CM blade. Great pull and snap. A beautiful, well made version of a great traditional pattern.

Congrats, Ed. That looks about right! ;)

I was happy to help and pleased to steer you toward a quality maker who could build what you had in mind.

Enjoy it!

Congrats, that's a fine user right there and the chocolate micarta is sweet!

Ed,

I think you made a great choice on the blade profile:thumbup:

Congrats to you and Keith on a fine sodbuster,

Ken

WOW I really like that Ed. I'm on KH waiting list for a KHnutbuster. :) Your making me think I need on Johnson's too.

Ed...just to confirm (how many times over now ? ) The clip point looks great- good choice-very nice knife....just has the wrong name on that shield though!...do the make shields long enough to fit campbellclanman on? :)
Very nice knife, merry Christmas to you and family Ed.

I think that sodbuster looks great with a clip point. Nice change. And the chocolate micarta is so elegant. Mr. Johnson really does an outstanding job on his knives.

Wow! Thanks to everyone for the positive comments. Keith really did do a wonderful job with this. It's easily the best knife I own. The micarta handle looks absolutely great in person and the feel of it is sooo smooth. Perfect pocket size. I love it. You may see more knives with that shield on it. Keith tells me the stamp is good for another 30 or 40.

Great looking knife Ed. The clip point blade really makes it stand out.
