New software, picture posting

Due to the new software, look and cumbersome searching to locate a specific forum via phone, I stopped coming to Bladeforums. I recently decided to push past the BS and try it again..... I purchased a gold membership when I always go platinum just to give it another shot. Between the Bladeforums change and Photobucket's blackmail, I find it very difficult to post pics. I have tried Imgur but it doesn't work. I really enjoy this hobby but it has become a headache beyond my enjoyment. I can see by the lack of participation on the sales forum that I am not the only one. It feels like this place is dying. I think that if there was a way to post pictures easily, we could get back to business as usual. Am I alone here?

I can no longer figure out how to post photos, nor edit. It's even too easy to create a thread by mistake. Since PhotoBucket stopped being free, I can't understand Imgur either. This new software is not easy for those of us that don't use social media very much. The only thing that I can do, is reply to these threads already started. I'm lucky that I already sold off most of the knives that I wanted to, before all of these changes. The future is geared for the extremely computer literate, and not those of us that learn by fumbling around!
 
As an ex user of Photobucket as well, I gave Imgur a quick look and decided not to move forward.

I actually found that posting directly from your computer or even smart phone is extremely easy to do.

Just click the Upload a File tab in the new post box and it will take you to your files in either your phone or computer. Then you can chose thumbnail or full photo. I've done it from both and have yet to need to resize a picture. Granted, this will only work for paying members.

I find that my BF experience runs more or less the same as it used to. For the most part, the forum is set up nearly exactly the same as it was before. Most buttons, tabs, and features are in a similar place. There are a few features that have been changed for worse or are omitted, but I find that most of the changes upgraded the overall usability of the forums on both a desktop and a smart phone. YMMV
 
I've stopped posting a lot in the threads asking what knives are you carrying or what is new kinda threads. It's just to much of a hassle. Since pb went down I've tried the others don't like them and to use BF photo uploads I have to resize everything. I know this and the total lack of technical support will be a factor when renewing my subscription this next go around. I wouldn't say dieing but like said above slowing down.
