Hi there, so I just got my Spyderco Endura in the mail, actually it came yesterday but nobody was home so I had to wait and pick it up today (hate that). I just figured I might as well tell you about it and share a few pics.

I got the Endura 4 with foliage green G-10 handles and flat grind. I haven't really used it since I just got it today but so far I'm really liking it! This is my first modern folder apart from one I got from Wal-mart when I was a kid and I'm quite happy with it.

It came fairly sharp but the edge isn't perfect so later I'm going to touch it up on my Fallkniven DC4. There's no blade play at all which is nice, but I'm guessing there would be if I messed with the pivot screw so I'll probably keep it as tight as it is now. I can't flip it open but I'm not sure if that's because it's too tight or if it's just me, but my guess is both. That's fine though because I can still open it fairly quickly and that's good enough for me, I may drip a little mineral oil into the pivot though, just to see if that loosens it up at all (just to be clear though, it's not really stiff or anything).

It's bigger than I expected even though I knew the blade length and everything, but that's a good thing because I already carry smaller knives. I'll also have to adjust to the whole pocket clip thing, it's handy having it right there for when I need it but it'll take some time to get used to.

So basically I'm happy with my new knife and I'll be carrying it every day now. It does have a pretty large blade so I'll continue to carry my Victorinox farmer for cutting in public and my Case medium stockman because, well because I still like traditional slipjoints and that's a good enough reason for me to throw another knife in my pocket.

Here are a few pictures, sorry they're not the best but I rarely take pictures, the camera is actually borrowed.

Great looking knife

I had an Endura just like that one and I miss it. Great knife, carries thin and light, has that full flat ground blade, and Spyderco's G-10 is one of my favorites (tied with Emerson to me). Make sure you put her to use :)

Take care, J.
