I just went over to www.knifecenter.com and checked out their what;s new section. They have the new Spyderco Pride. This is supposedly Spyderco's first non-locking blade. I don't know if I like that non-feature or not, but it's a cool little patriotic knife.

Actually, it's the "Pride." There are going to be many models with different flags. I doubt I'll get one but it's a cool knife.

Where in the world did I come up with the name "Spirit"? I don't know what I was thinking. I chenged my post to the name "Pride". I think that the title will still say "Spirit" though.

Ooohhh.... there's one with a Dive flag?!?!?
Now I might have to buy one... damn!
Where did you pick up the model with the dive flag?

I got it from : glasshartt@aol.com. Linda is a real nice person to deal with. I was referred to her from the spyderco forum (on the Spyderco web site). I'm not sure if she has anymore dive flag Pride's but I'm sure she could get one. This was one of the flag's spyderco mentioned a while ago would be in the first run. I've been waiting for it. I'll post a pic later this weekend if I have time.

I think we've got 12 or 13 country flags already made. We make up flags (or logos) as we get orders.

I can remember; USA, UK, Mexico, South Africa, Germany, Japan off the top of my head, but I'm not at the office. Maybe Joyce can check it out and post?

Before I chase up my Importer, will an English flag(St George, not the Union one) be available to purchase?
Our knife laws (although commonly and discreetly ignored) specifically mention locking knives and excess 3" blades, and this little beauty would be just about the most legal carry here.

We had areas like the UK in mind when we decided to make this knife. We believe that the combination of short blade, non locking folder will find acceptance in many countries where knife laws are stricter than the USA. It can still be opened and closed one handed. It's fairly inexpensive and PC.

We have to make 300 flags in a shot. We expect that company logos might be a good way to make meaningful premiums.

Although the Pride is well suited to the UK, I can't seem to find one over here.
I tried the British Knife Collectors Guild
http://www.bkcg.co.uk/
who claim to be able to import any knife, and they say it is not available for export. Are they just not trying or is it not available outside the US and Japan? These would sell well over here.
