I love the Spyderco Stretch - one of my favorite Spyderco's. I have both FRN incarnations, don't know the CF one yet. Was wondering if there are any more Stretch variations coming down the pipeline? (ie more different colored handles, different steel variations, etc.) I would love to see some of the colors that are represented in the FFG Endura 4's come to the Stretch. An Orange Stretch would be nice as well.

Hi Wavester,

I won't say that it's a "new" model, but we are making a prototype of a stretch model with a straight spine like the Endura and Delica. We plan to show it at shows to get feedback. I guess there are many that "don't like the looks" of the Stretch drop-point shape and we'd like to get feedback on the question.

Hi Sal, I for one put a strong "keep the drop point" vote. It's my favorite blade shape.

I would like a stretch with a straight spine, it would be much more appealing. I guess the only reason i didst get a stretch is because of the drop point.

Much as I like the Stretch as it is, I'd be more than happy to see both "FFG Delica/Endura" and "Dyad PE" bladed variants added to the lineup. :D

I love the Stretch. Been my EDC for a bit now. British Racing green sounds lovely. Not too exicited about a new blade shape, as it would (for me) take away a big part of what makes the stretch so unique.

Hi Paul. Would you explain the Dyad PE variant?

sal
Sure Sal, it would be like the CF one Gary W. Graley modified, shown HERE which reminds me of the PE blade on the full size Dyad.

If the handle stays the same,I'm in for the straight spine. Love the ergonomic handle. :D

So it sounds like the model in between the Delica and Endura that never existed?

Hi Sal...Thanks for the reply! I am sure I would prob like the straight spine as well, but I would like to add my voice to others here that given the choice, I would much rather keep the blade shape the same as it is. Its such a great looking knife. Variants of this knife is more to my liking. Different blade materials, different colored handles, maybe even a a smaller variant (a Stretch Jr.) as well :D

I look forward to the new version of the stretch, the curve on top of the blade is the only reason I've resisted the stretch this long.

The current blade is outstanding. I'd really hate to see it go. Now if you want to experiment & offer other blade shapes ALSO...that's just peachy.

I've been considering getting a VG-10 FRN version for some time now. Somehow I keep putting it off. The Stretch looks like a great user, and I do love the drop point shape.
