Just received my Paramilitary 2 in the mail! Wish I would have bought one before waiting so long. I have a delica I've carried for over a year and have no complaints with it, guess it will be having some days off now. Sorry everyone no pics, don't have a camera!

Yep, I know how you feel, as I just got one about a month ago. Don't know why I waited so long??? As soon as I had it in hand I felt like a dumbass.

Waited? I keep hearing this with reference to this knife. My wife kept making excuses to not get one. Her Persistence was fine. Not worth the money (I insisted on the S90V sprint). She had plenty of knives to pick from. And so on. Now she carries nothing else. Every feature on this model seems to be a strength.

the delica is my favorite edc knife. how does the para feel weight and size wise to it? also whats ur thoughts on the compression vs the back lock?

thanks,

I plan on getting one of these. I think I will wait for the sprint run in brown G10 and CPM S35VN blade steel that is due
sometime in early 2012.

IMO the Paramilitary 2 is a little heavier, but not by much. The length of the Paramilitary 2 handle is slightly longer than that of the Delica. I'll tell you that the compression lock is a lot of fun and seems to be very strong.

I'd also count myself as a Delica man. The Para 2 is kind of like a beefy Delica, which is why I like it so much: only about an ounce or so heavier (the difference in hand isn't hugely noticeable--it's almost on par with an Endura), and the handle is a hair thicker and maybe a half-inch longer than the Delica when folded. It took me a bit to get used to the compression lock, but now if feels natural and silky smooth. Here's a comparison shot of the Para 2 with an Endura and Delica.

As good as my Para 2 is, though, it hasn't been able to completely replace my Delicas... :)

It doesn't seem any heavier to me after carrying it for about a week. I always have a bunch of junk in my pockets so I don't notice any more weight. I like the size of the para better when I am using it. The para seems to feel a lot better in the hand and the handles offer more grip. I would compare it to when I shoot a J frame S&W to a full size 1911. Both do their intended job but one is just more comfortable. The lock mechanism could be either way for me. If it fails while I'm using it then I probably should have brought an axe or chainsaw instead.

Thats actually not as big as I thought it was after seeing it between and endura and a delica! Huh, might have to get one sometime.
