I was browsing Blade HQ, and I saw something new--possibly the closest thing we're going to get to a Delica 5 for now at least:

a "tactical" version of the Delica; a collaboration with Kahr Arms. It will come in black, tan, and purple-blue.

According to the BHQ website:
____
Kahr Arms, in collaboration with Spyderco, has created the Kahr Delica4 sprint run.

The Spyderco manufactured Kahr Delica4 is based on a modified blade design from self-defense expert Michael Janich. The 2.5" blade has been chosen to make the knife legal to carry in larger urban areas like Boston and Chicago, while maintaining the intended utility of its design. It features a smooth thumb ramp.

The Kahr Delica 4 utilizes the same handle design as Spyderco's popular model, but comes in 3 colors that add another level of discretion. The colors are black, khaki, and denim blue. The hardware and the VG-10 steel blade are non-reflective stonewash finished.

____

The BHQ website also has the Slysz Bowie, Dog Tag, Dice, Lil' Lionspy, Chubby and other new Spydies in the "coming soon" section.

Here is a pic of the Kahr/Spyderco Delica:

What do you all think? :D

This is exactly what I had Charlie Mike do for a Waved Delica so I could carry it in Boston. Nothing new really, I was inspired by the Janich Endura regrind in the first place. Plus mine had a cool swedge :D

I have to say though, I like the stonewashed finish.

I don't mean to offend the Kahr guys but Sonnemann yours looks awesome! That swedge makes it.

Had the same thing done to a Benchmade Mini Grip a while ago for legal reasons in certain areas. Certainly has an appealing look to me with the sharp angle.

NOTE: Anyone considering buying this Khar knife or modifying an existing knife should be aware it changes the balance of the knife, and will affect flicking the blade open and closed.

I like the khaki. I might like the denim. Not sure yet. I do not like the blade, but I understand. I might get one, blade swap and sell the shorter blade

That looks cool jake !!
Would be a great mod for anyone out there with a broken tip on there military

Can you post a picture of it closed?

Yea I think the khaki is cool, but hate the shortened blade since I have no use for it. I'll prob pass on these, though I am tempted because I do love the delica.

Why not just buy a Dragonfly? Seems like a waste of handle to have such a short blade on the Delica.

But if all you could have is that length blade, wouldn't you like to have a full handle to aid in grip?
