I have been working on this all week in the few hours I have before work. Took me a while to get all the lines all lined up and the dovetail. All the work is done by hand with only a jig to hold the work down. The bolsters are set at a 2 degree angle. Blade steel is 3V steel. With a floating carbon fiber backspacer. If you have any questions feel free to ask my email is srgknives@gmail.com I also have a instagram @srgknives

Satin ti

I wanted to get a really heavy sand blast on the steel plate part of the titanium but with the media I had I couldn't get that.

Lines drawn and handle in place. I used a 1/8th ball noes endmill

One side done

Working on side two

Side pretty even for being by hand

Rivet holes drilled

Re-sand blasted the handles

Bolster line up

Checking to make sure everything is all lined up

So I skipped a bunch of steps to the finished product. I hand sanded the carbon fiber to make sure it was the same thickness as the TI. Re-drilled the rivet holes to let the satin ti show. I think it add a bit of bling to it. I dipped the pivot heads into acid to dull the screws. Also acid stone washed the blade. Now for the TI I heated it on my stove till it wouldn't get any darker. After that I stone washed the TI to give it a factory look. Then I grabbed some of the stone and shook them by hand to give them a rougher worn look. shook them for about a min. Then I just dropped rock on it to scratch the TI up. I think the handles will look better with more wear on it.

Very cool. Love the laid brick/domino look of the handle. And the blade just screams heavy duty badass. I want to get into knife making, I just know it's gonna be a huge investment to get started on top of all my other hobbies as it is.
