Merry Christmas to all.
Here's a new silp joint I just finished, I haven't made many slips in the last 6 or 7 years. I'm thinking of producing a few of these, what do ya'll think? This is a single blade slim trapper with a 3-1/2'' 01 tool steel blade, stainless liners and bolster, amber stag scales, 4'' closed. I will be making most of them with blades of W2 and 1086M.
Thanks for looking.

Yes,very,very nice Don!
I know what W2 is,is 1086M,Manganese or Molybdenum?
Merry Christmas,Don! I know ya' made mine a good one.Thanks! :D Doug.

now ther is a very nice Christmas present for someone.
(Just wish it was a Chaunkah present for me...)

I hope to see more of your slipjoints soon.

Merry Christmas, Don.

Doug, 1086M is a vanadium steel, just like W2 but with a bit less carbon. I got it from Howard Clark and have made a few big knives with it, great stuff.

Thanks guys, Merry Christmas.

Gorgeous. I'm certainly a fan of your work.

My big hands won't make snall knives...yet.

My hat is off, Sir.

Bruce, I bought it that way from Joe Culpepper,Mother of Pearl Co. They have been dying stag for many years.

Don't think man. . . . .commit and follow the yellow brick road on your quest ! :D

That's an awesome slip ! ;)

I hope you follow through on that thought. I'm not generally a big fan of single blade trappers, but that piece is NICE!

Don , that is really nice. I love that design and you've done it so well.

Don, I'd buy anything you make with stag like that on it!!! Wonderful look to it, and we know it'll perform well as all your knives. Go for it!! Well, after you're finished making my tactical...hehehehe

Best, John

That's a beauty Don. But not so fancy that you'd feel bad about using it. Very nice indeed.
