I have this in my head for few months. The idea finnaly became complete and I realize it. Here it is:

Folded. You dont know what it is?

Unfolded. You still dont know? Oh, you know!

Yes! It is foldable something for put pan on it when cooking in fire!

I think that's some 3/8" copper pipe, but you're probably right about the square bar stock.

I am sorry if this is an ignant question - but will copper be able to stay firm under a hot wood fire? Is there any threat of bending?

It is not copper, everything is steel.
Measurements: 16 mm square pipe, 5 mm legs (wire for acetylene welding), 8 mm screw. Of course, you can make it bigger (and heavyer )
