We are looking at branching out into keeping other steels in stock. We do most of our steel business through AKS so steel is only a few days out for us. But we are trying to keep an ok selection on hand. Right now I just got in sheets of A2, O1, 8670 and 1084 in the .100-.125 range. We will be adding them to the site soon.

I don't want to be haphazardly adding steel so I’m asking you guys if there are any alloys you would like to see us carry or add to the site. Thanks guys - JT

Sweet! I’m definitely interested in the A2. D2/K110 might be another decent option as well.

80CrV2, 26C3 would be nice options to see too.

Do you offer a flat ground option for steel you sell? I just got some 8670 Flat ground from Alpha Knife and was really excited to see that available. I've only ever seen O1, A2, and other tool steels. O1 is the only one I have ability to heat treat, so seeing my favorite 8670 was great.

We can or will surface grinder anything you want. It use to be an option on the website but during the website revamp we removed it. We where a little hesitant to just on the 26C3 band wagon as it seams like it needs a good fast quench and I did not want to have issues with soft centers from blades not ground before heat treat.

Hey JT, any interest in just running a poll be for the next steels you can get easily/reliably?
That way you can kinda limit options, cause let's face it everyone has their favorite steel, and the pipe dream steel they really want to try but no one carries...

One vote for Hitachi blue. Or whatever is super hard to get.

I have thought of doing that. It usually works out best when everyone can agree on one thickness and alloy and that way we can get an efficient nest.
