New Stock at KSF

Just curious, are base price 4" Fiddlebacks still $250?

I believe so, but there aren't many of them.

Some examples to determine base price:

2015 0313 23 – Bushfinger w/ Black bolsters over P.I.B. burlap, Trinity pinout, Tapered Tang, convex on 5/32 spalted 01 steel - $370
Bolster $40
Shadetree $40
Taper $40
Gets us to $250 base price for a Bushfinger.

Another example:
2015 0313 21 – Terrasaur w/ Black bolsters over Emerald green burlap, SFT Tang, convex on 1/8 spalted 01 steel - $330
Bolster $40
Shadetree $40
Gets us to $250 base price for a Terrasaur

Final example:
2015 0313 17 – Arete w/ Cocobolo over natural w/ blue pinstripes, Tapered Tang, convex on 5/32 spalted 01 steel - $340
Taper $40
Cocobolo $50 (woods have gone up per Andy a couple months ago)
Gets us to $250 base price for an Arete

Thanks Nathan.

Man you're always going above and beyond around here. You definitely put forth your very best no matter what the thread topic. Thanks brother.

2015 0220 19 – Asp w/ black canvas over natural w/ orange pinstripes, SFT Tang, convex on 1/8 spalted A2 steel - $250

I had to resist on this one before and now it's just sitting in my KSF cart.

For a long time I wasn't sure a recluse/patch knife profile was going to be something that I would like the feel of in hand. I should not have worried a bit hehe. I finally took the plunge and I ended up with both. Fantastic choice for your 1st Fiddleback. Congrats!

Thanks Cdmayhem & necrolicious - I have a Carter cutlery neck knife which is my only other tapered tang knife. Wanted a user but also wanted another tapered tang and that led me back round to FF. Was originally introduced to Andy's work via the Bark River Production version of the Recluse.

Looking forward to getting my hands on it!

Cheers,

Ben

Ben,

Nice choice! After receiving a Leuku I knew I'd have to get my hands on the other sizes in the line. I have a Patch coming in the mail and can't wait till a Recluse pops up in a configuration I'm holding out for. Enjoy the exciting world that is Fiddleback Forge!
