A couple of new Stockman pattern...

top : Boker Grand Canyon Carbon steel, Jigged Chocolate Bone

bottom: Camillus Rough Cut - cheap and cheerful Delrin

Sorry about the colours, this scanner is not the best.

Super catch..:thumbup: Good solid working mans using knives. Stock paterns are among my very favorite of all.

I wanted a nice bone/carbon combination and the Boker does this well.

I also wanted to compare this with the Camillus.

Some interesting comparisons:

The Boker has rounded bolsters, the knife is slightly narrower than the Camillus.

Boker: brass liners, nice polished fit and finish, smooth edge on blades, good springs, no half stops

Camillus: stainless steel liners, ok fit and finish, toothy edge on blades and springs like an alligator's jaws !!!! hard to tell whether there are any half stops, but this knife would take off a finger if you did not take care closing it !!!

Like you say, good honest knives, my favourite pattern.
 
Nice pair! That Boker looks like something you might expect to see Grandpa pull out of his work pants. Appreciate the quick comparison between the two. A nice touch.
