  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

This is for my EDC knives only, but other people could use it different ways. I have lots of knives in boxes in the closet, but I wanted my EDC knives to be more readily accessible, and also I wanted something to keep them in order so I could easily pick out the next one in the rotation. I did some measurements and thought about buying a wood box, maybe a cigar box or some kind of display box, then cutting some wood dividers. That seemed like a daunting task so I hit upon using these tackle boxes. I has a small one here and it would have worked for knives the size of a mini-grip but all of my EDC knives are bigger. I studied the specs online and decided this Plano 3700 was just right, and it is readily available. I picked up this one tonight at Walmart. I cut some small squares of packing foam to keep the knives separated and loaded it up. It is about 9" x 14" and easily holds 16 fairly large knives. For people who collect knives the size of the Sage and Mini-Grip, you could put 24 of them in this box, and if the knives are thin enough you could put 3 per compartment for a total of up to 36 knives.
