New Straight Razor: warped blade?

I just got a Dovo "Best Quality" 6/8-in straight razor, and I went to touch it up on my new Spyderco Ultra Fine stone. I put some small sharpie marks on the bevel of the blade to see where it was grinding, and I noticed that on the label side of the blade, the middle IS being sharpened and the tip and kick of the edge are NOT. On the other side, the middle is NOT being sharpened while the tip and kick are.

So I've been grinding this on a DMT stone trying to straighten it out... But it's either taking forever, or it's simply staying warped.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
 
Send it back. your sharpening is proof that it is bad they need to recognize that. They should accept it.
 
It's not like they would have turned around and resold it or anything. As mentioned above, your sharpening was what revealed the defect. At least get in touch with the seller and see what they'll do for you.
