I just took delivery of my new Strider Airwing and it is awesome. It was well worth the wait. Thanks to some LEO friends, I was able to get in on the initial order.

Sweet man! :)

Strider's kick serious butt! Like no other!

Official name is EB-AC

If this came in a single sharpened edge, I'd have been all over this knife. Local laws here consider it felonious carry.

Pretty easy fix, just file or grind off the top edge. :) I know, it would be sacrilege.

That Airwing looks mean and ready for action. Like all Striders, this one will be another major box office hit!

As per the Strider guys...
you may send it back to the shop, and they'll take care of the top edge "problem" for you.

Is that handle really as uncomfortable as it looks? The slab-sided scales seem like they would wear out your hand under heavy use...

Handle is definitely comfortable for me, but to each his own regarding comfort. I like the Airwing grind better than the standard one on the EB. As for getting it ground down afterward, I prefer my knives to come finished as is, without having the tigerstriping pattern interrupted from the extra grinding and the extra cost and waiting time to get it done. There's lots more Striders coming down the pike that I will be adding to my beginner Strider stash.

Here is some pics of the kick butt Strider CP...

Don't remember who took the pics... Strider gave away the first #001 CP at Blade And a really good friend of mine, won it!

The folder above the CP, is the new tiny Strider PT folder! The only one made, and some jerk stole it!

That depends on how delicate your hand is ... Strider scales are designed so they won't slip in your grip, which cuts down on wear and tear in itself.
