I've noticed Strider has started doing 3/4 hollow grinds on a few of their knives, does anyone have any experience with them? I'm curious to hear if they slice better than their full flat grinds.
Slicing has more to do with edge geometry than the blade grind.
In other words they come with a 22.5 degree angle or about 45 degree edge from Strider so if you change the angle to 15 degrees or 30 degrees total it will slice better.
I sharpen my Striders so they have a 40 degree edge and they slice great, yes even the full flat grinds.
I sure hope this isn't going to turn into another one of those thick blades don't slice threads because that is just not true.
