New strider came in the mail - is it a fake?

I might be overly cautious but I've never had a strider before so I was hoping some of the pros could chime in. I got it in a trade and the other member had no feedback / reputation so I just wanted to make sure since I know many striders have been replicated and faked and it came with no paperwork/box. The lockup is really quite solid - bank vault. I haven't been able to adjust the pivot (its a bit stiff so its pretty hard to open - and theres a slight 'gritty'ness to it) but I don't have a strider tool so I cannot adjust it yet. I took the screws apart and the female part has burling. It feels pretty good in the hand but just want to make sure :) If there are any better pictures I can take or some other way to verify please let me know!

Seems legit. Is the lock up surface on the blade's tang flat or radiused? If I'm thinking clearly it should be flat on the new CPM154 ones... My newest S30V SNG blade is flat (instead of radiused) on the tang where the lockbar hits if that matters... :D

Maybe add another pic of the complete locking side that way everyone can see the lockbar stabilizer, clip etc. and chime in based on seeing the entire knife.

Striders don't come with "box" and or "paperwork"

It should have a relatively flat lock face if its cpm154 like the picture indicates

Yup - its a flat lock face. I watched a youtube video looking at fakes and they mentioned it should be a bit curved so I was concerned.

You've convinced me its not a fake - now time to abuse it and break it in :D
 
From the pics it appears that the blade is centered properly, the lock engages perfectly and fit and finish quite nice. Must be a fake!! :D
 
Having owned 10+ STriders I'd say it's real.....that or I've been screwed repeatedly!!
 
It's a fake...Please send it to me, so I can dispose of it properly.:D.:D.
 
I agree with everyone else. It has the same stamp look as mine and everything else looks fine. Enjoy
