Just in time for summer. I needed a light weight EDC for summer time. Its no secret I am a Strider fan. I have owned many over the years and all have been perfect. My new SNG CC is no exception. Fit and finish is perfect. Blade centering is perfect. I must have owned 6 Striders over the years and never received a bad one. They have always been perfect. Back to my new SNG.. I bought this knife as a hard user for summer clothing. I do not plan on hard using my new David Mosier custom flipper. I will use the Spyro but it cost too much money for the real dirty jobs....Enter the Strider SNG CC. :D

I ordered the exact combination I like for a user Strider. Stone wash blade that hides the marks and scratches. I can even polish out nasty marks if I want to. Stone Wash finish is really the toughest finish you can have on a knife and wears beautifully.

I am also a fan of the CC. The Concealed Carry option is worth the extra money. It fits the hand nice and wont rip up the pocket like the GG. My SMF GG shreds pockets so if you take your knife out a lot I don't recommend the GG. The SNG CC also weighs less at only 4.0oz.

I love the flamed titanium frame and finding a CC in that configuration is a bit tough.

The Logos on this Strider are very sharp and clear. So clear that it gives a "Strider reflection in the stone wash finish.

Blade centering is dead nuts perfect...(industry term)

The action of the knife is smooth for a non IKBS system and about perfect for a new Strider. I believe the Stone Wash finish is a bit smoother action out of the box when new.

Lock up is perfect (early) and not sticky. Solid, with no blade play in any direction. Pocket clip tension is right on.

What else can I say about the SNG CC that hasnt been said?... IMO, its about as perfect as a light weight EDC knife can get without sacrificing strength and usability. Field dress a deer, open my kids toys, baton a notch in a log....No problem.

I am done buying knives for a while. In a weeks time I purchased a Custom David Mosier Spyro flipper and a new Strider SNG CC. I can pretty much do anything with these two knives.

Thanks guys. I get so pumped up when I buy a new knife. Only fellow blade enthusiast share the excitement or at least understand the sickness.

I'm done buying for a long time.

I do like the CC range. I have CC versions of the SNG and SMF and prefer those to the more blocky finish that Strider normally do with G10.

Nice pics and knife, thanks for posting.

That Strider is a real beauty! I'm looking closely at the lock up(which really is perfect!), is the lock face on the tang slightly concave or is it just the photo?

Yes, it rolls back like the shape of a shoe to the flat surface that meets the blade. There isn't a sharp angle on the knife.

Niiiice! You got a good one! My SMF was less than perfect, but damn i love Striders...

The sickness will continue though! HAHAHAHAH!

I like my sng cc too, nice pictures there, congratulations.

The 'strider reflection' is something I've never heard of, it just seems like the process went wrong. Can you explain what it is? DOes strider do that on purpose?

I have one just like the OPS but with a SW Ti slab too - it's a great knife!

I had written off Strider, but now, I don't know. Hmmmm.

Very nice review and pics. Looks like a great folder.
