search function let me down once again, couldnt find anything on this topic (then again i may be doing something wrong). anyways, anybody know what the deal is with this knife?

http://www.tadgear.com/edged%20tools/new_strider_folder!.htm

price?
availability?
anything?

the first ive heard of it is through tad gears site which seems odd considering that the actual strider web page mentions nothing about it. can anyone help me out?

I don't think they ever update the Strider web page. It still lists ATS 34 as the steel used, but they switched to S30V a couple years ago.

Played with one of the two proto's at Blade this past weekend. The other is at www.azck.com and sold for $2200.00 yesterday!! I asked about this knife coming out as a regular production piece and was told if it did it would probably be down the road sometime. Here is the picture. The blade has a different grind than the one at TAD.

Looks a lot like a Spyderco Wegner to me (in the handle). I think it looks comfortable and very useful.

Wow, a Strider folding knife that appeals to not only my affinity for nigh-unbreakable toys, but also sense of aesthetics?

I am both impressed and surprised.

Both of those look AMAZING!

I hope they do put that into production.

Great job, Strider-guys!
And thanks to danroot and Artsig for sharing.

Man, that's gorgeous. If it ever comes out as a regular production model, I'm going to be all over it.

wow, beauty is in the eye of the beholder all right.

I don't like the recorve, don't like the blade grinds, don't like the handle.

Do you like knives?

My impression on strider knives are some overpriced but really hardcore stuff.
But this one doesn't look like a strider, it looks like a hardcore-wanabe gent's knife.

The handle felt really good in my hand. I like the way it drops at the back, as it really gives your hand something to hold onto. I prefer the standard grind (TAD Gear) over the Nightmare grind(AZCK) That wide tip reminds me of a Lightfoot knife.
