When I was out, walking about,:) today, I left a coupla things soaking in a pan of stripper. After supper they were ready to be retrieved. After a good scraping with a plastic scraper, and coarse then fine steel wool, I decided to give the BK2 a patina and left the BK14 as it were. It was late when I posed them for some pics, the lighting is spotty (my camera, Canon 50D, is way smarter than me.:o I inadvertently changed “something” and am still trying to figure out what.)

I decided, writing this to try something with the BK14. I like stone-washed knife finishes, but don’t have access to a de-burring tumbler, so I am going to put it in my brass tumbler with walnut shells and a load of 45acp cases. I’ll let you know how it works/ comes out.

That's a nice looking 14. Post up some pics when your done tumbling it. Do you have a vibratory tumbler or drum type?

so many mods :) you'd think people liked these knives or something.

I wonder, how did you get that nice even patina?

I'm going to strip my esee-5 and patina it, but i want it not to dark and spotty.

Like the sheath btw.

Looks good!! After seeing you guys with the naked 2's it's got me thinking about doing mine.

Real nice job on making the patina even. I assume just a submerge and let it soak for awhile.
