I'm seeing some interesting new stuff pop up on retailers' websites as "coming soon". Mini Taggedouts, Mini Narrows, new colorways for the Bugout, Mini Bugout and Shootout. A new aluminum Bugout. A new balisong. And a really nice looking new set of the Osborne family in blackwashed DLC Magnacut and Burnt Copper finished aluminum.

A mini tagged out sounds interesting, but why make the blade length 3.04”?
Wouldn’t people be better served with a 2.9” blade for those people who can’t carry a blade over 3”?
I don’t understand.

Mini Taggedout is most interesting to me as well. The Magnacut Osborne is a good move and while I appreciate Benchmades flair for different color ways, I wish they’d fire whichever chief design officer that has an affinity for spray painting the blades with Cerakote on everything. Give us the damn satin and coated blade option.

I’ve never understood coating stainless blades. I can understand coating non stainless blades. I prefer no coatings at all. It retards the cutting capability.
Maybe it sells?
As you said, at least give us the option to choose.

Anyone know of any options for switching out the orange back spacer and orange thumb bolt on the tagged out mini?

I was delighted to see that the MagnaCut 940 is DLC, not Cerakote. Doesn't help if coatings aren't your thing, etc., but I'll take DLC over Cerakote any day.

I like the looks of the new PSK (Personal Survival Kit) in MagnaCut!

This is an issue I have with many makers. Making a blade 3.13" etc. makes the maker seem stupid and oblivious to common knife laws.

I don't need to hold it to know that there's no such thing as a BM worth $360. But you just keep drinking that butterfly flavored Kool aid...
You said it was a $150 knife.
He ask you to name a $150 knife that was equal to it.
So name a $150 knife that is it’s equal, or you’re just t blowing smoke.

Just go to to your favorite knife website and search for whatever criteria you want, that's NOT made by BM.

It's not about kool-aid. It's a legitimate question. Which knife equal it for $150? Thats your statement
I want to see one. I haven't had either
Which attribute is important? If you absolutely have to have that particular combination of features/materials, that's the only knife on the market this week. That doesn't mean it's worth over double what a reasonable folder costs.

The obvious comparison is that the PSK (chunky, assisted, 3.5") is meant to be a replacement for the Barrage, which was $150 all day long when it was current.
If you want assisted and have to have the latest fad steel, Kershaw Blur Magnacut is $130.
SOG Flash ATR is under $100 if you want a chunky axis-assist around 3.5" and don't mind made in ROC.
If you just want a medium/large magnacut folder, pick your favorite manufacturer (that isn't BM) and lock, there's tons of options right now. Hell, you can get a Tactile Maverick for less than this BM!!!

The Tactical Maverick looks interesting.to me. I. Gonna research more on that one. For that only I usually have a fixed knive. But I like heavy duty folders also

I get why they do coated on stainless, people like the looks of it, someone might want a fully blacked out knife etc. Personally its not my favorite, it does add to the look on some knives but once you use them enough it ruins the look anyways as cerakote is garbage compared to DLC and just look horrible when its worn off. I can see if its a tool steel but some models only offer stainless. I have a bunch of knives with DLC and a few cerakote, either because thats all they offered in that model or with some of my other ones like spyderco exclusives it was all I could get my hands on as the satin were gone (still looking on the secondary for one in particular to either buy or trade for the coated)

I also do like that PSK quite a bit compared to all the other new stuff they released which just seems boring, but the price is a no go for me, they treat it like the next s90v where they think the steel is worth another $100 more (s90v isnt worth that much more either but the raw steel is more costly than magnacut or at least was)
