New Stuff from Camillus Introduced at Blade!

At the Bladeshow yesterday, I stopped by to introduce myself to Will Fennel of camillus cutlery. Will just happened to show me a couple of things that Camillus is now introducing. The 2 items he showed me are varients of previously released models.

1. is the Becker C/U 9. It's a longer version of the C/7. It is a nice stout piece of fixed blade. Would make one hell of a camper. I believe the MSRP was $90.

2. This is the one I can't wait for, and already have 2 on order. Camillus is making another limited 500 piece run of the Fisk OVB bowie. This time, the handles are desert Iron wood. This is one gorgeous piece and I plan on buying at least 1 of every Fisk OVB that camillus puts out. I have 2 of the fiddle back maple run and decided I NEED 2 of these to go with it. MSRP is going up on these because of the cost of the wood. The new MSRP is $310

I didn't really hit any other production booths yesterday, as I was spending all my time running around throwing my money at custom makers. I will attempt to get some details (and pics if they don't mind) on some of the other new production stuff this afternoon.

Really excited about the Ironwood myself!! The 9 is gonna be awesome!
 
That OVB in ironwood is going to be sweet. I hope that they can find enough to do a limited run with stag handles. This would be the one that would really get my attention.
 
The fiddleback maple was awesome, but Desert Ironwood sounds even better. I was kinda hoping for a thinner Campanion rather than a longer C/U 7, but more knives is more knives...
 
Now all I'll be thinking about is the next OVB/Fisk. Glad to hear that it will be another Fisk design, glad it is desert ironwood, second the wish that it was stag, and will have to get one (or two!) I guess I'll be prepared for the inevitable delayed release date. Seems that every darn knife I have on order has been delayed, the exception being my Dozier that actually came about 2 weeks earlier than expected! The wait for my first OVB was frustrating, hopefully Camillus has gotten all the bugs worked out. So...... when may this next OVB come out Will? Any pics yet? Thus begins a new cycle:rolleyes:

Will told me this evening that he will be out of town and have no access to computer until thursday, so he will answer all questions then. The target date is August, so I would guess possibly Sept/Oct. August may actually be very realistic since they already have the tooling set up for the blade.

No pictures from me. Even if I did get some, my camera is 35mm and I don't have a way to post them yet.

For those of you who want an OVB/Fisk #2, ya better get your orders in very soon. Essentially all those who ordered #1, will have gotten the same amount of #2. Since #1 sold out and is increasing in value, #2 is likely to do the same. I've already gotten my preorder in, but I will remain skeptical about an August release date.:rolleyes:
