Got my Special Projects catalog today. CS has some interesting new items.

Trail Guide - Valox handle lockbacks, look very much like the Sierra lockbacks (by Camillus?). Football-shaped opening hole, two sizes and two plain blade choices (drop & clip), SS pocket clip. Good things would be the opening hole, and a flat grind, bad (some might disagree) would be the Carbon V blade. Some might love the Carbon V in a folder, I like SS. Also bad is the lock button in the old Buck 110 style at the rear bolster, makes it harder to close one-handed. $29.99-$39.99 MSRP

Pro Lite - Zytel trying real hard to look like G10 (I like it), with a SS liner. Football holes, drop or clip, plain or serrated 440A, SS pocket clip (again, nice and low-profile  ). The lock is a "leaf spring", like the CS Scimitar. $69.99 MSRP

Night Force - Nicely shaped G10-grained Zytel, similiar though not so radical in shape as the Scimitar. Black-coated 440 "sub-zero quench" blade (plain or serrated "Bowie style"), black pocket clip, thumb studs, leaf-spring lock. $74.99 MSRP

The most interesting are the new kitchen knives. Nice Kraton-covered Zytel handles, a set comes with an oak block. I just wonder how good the "420 Sub-Zero Quench" blades will hold up. 6-pc cooking set, 6 steak knives, a block to hold all 12 for $199.99 MSRP.

Mind you, this is all just out of the catalog. Anyone have ant real hands-on with these knives?
