New-Style BK2 Sheath - sell separately?

I previously asked this in a thread about sheaths but now I can't find it.....:mad:

I received my BK2 at a time when they had the old kydex sheath. I'd like to get my hands on at least one, if not two, of the new kydex sheaths so that:

a. I can get a better fitting and looking sheath for regular carry
b. I can remove the strapping to fit a tek-lok on it for horizontal carry


Do they make these available for purchase for people with older BK2's? Or do I have to buy a new BK2 to get a new sheath?

Call Kabar and ask about it. There is also a new change to the BK2 sheath I saw yesterday (I got a few knives in the mail), and that is that the thumb ramp on the sheath is now flat.

Interesting.

I called them up and inquired about buying sheaths ($20, $8 shipping) as well as purchasing a BK2SG. I am a (State) Government Employee so I'm interested to see how it goes.
 
you can also posted a wanted ad in the wanted section stating what you're after. a lot of people have upgraded their sheaths to leather, or custom kydex, or whatever and probably will send you something something for something something.
