New style Buck/Strider.

I know that the Buck/Strider's had some changes, new bronze washer set-up, ambi thumbstuds, smoother G-10, flame-treated locking liner.

So I guess my question is, how does it match up to the other tac folders out there now? Have the changes made a tangible difference in use?

Should I just wait for the opportunity to get an AR?

I think the Buck/Striders are awesome tac folders the way they were! Now, they are just that much better. Best thign about them, to me, is that they are full sized tools. Take a look at normal screw drivers, shovels, axes, etc. Notice the size of the handles? The handles ont he buck/striders are perfect for a sharp TOOL! I have the tanto, and I'd love to get the new spear point. Sure I'd love an AR, but I think the Buck/Strider spear point or tanto are fantastic cutting tools. They have one heck of a lock-up! The real thick liners inspire confidence.

The new Buch Strider spear point is one heck of a nice knife. Buck has made improvements exactly where they were needed.
