New style (for me), "drop-point"

I widened the blade on my "standard" drop-point hunter, then added a thumb ramp on the spine and a finger choil. Hand forged damascus of 1084 / 15n20 Stainless bolsters and malachite recon stone spacers. Blade is just under 4 inches, 8 1/4 overall. Your comments would be appreciated.

Very nice Michael. Is it just the lighting or was this selectively hardened?

I like the line that the thumb ramp adds. Something of a "wasp-waist" look that reminds me of a B-58. :D

Thank you all.
Bluejaunte - the blade is full hardened and then tempered back. I try not to get a hamon or temper line on most of my damascus.

Got to hand you a nice comment on this one. Well designed, great combinations of colors and materials and flawless execution. Jim

Mike, I'm really impressed. Much of my time on the site is looking at drop point hunters. This knife is a shining example. Mark
