New style Ranger knives

When Did they start making this new style RD series. With the jimping on the thumb ramp on the spine, with the scull crusher, and the clip point. I just got an RD7. I love the knife but I emailed Justin at Ranger knives because I wanted him to thin the edge out and put a clip point, or a sharpened swedge so it could be more of a stabber/fighter. He said he could do it for $30. Thats a great deal, But now I guess I'll just get one of these new style RD7s or a 9. I have an older style RD6, comparing it to the newer design I much prefer the older style. I like a stout tip in a knife this size. Not sure when the change happened, but it could not be more than a month or two ago. My guess

Transitioned sometime between December / early January depending on the blade length. He used up his old profile stock first.

I got a brand new RD6 Thursday! MY first RD.

I relaly like it, much heavier than I expected (compared to a Cuda Maxx on wich the blade is not 1" shorter).

It looks to say "Beat me, beat me bad!"
