tried something new for me. Barry Gallagher heat colored damascus bolsters, damasteel blade 3.5" and gorgeous colored pearl. just wish the colors showed up in this scan:(

Oh my Gawd, that is one of the sleekest, sexiest knives I've ever seen!! Thanks for sharing, Tim.:D Is there a formula you use to achieve the colors on those bolsters, a certain temperature or time, or something?
 
Knife? Where? I can't seem to stop staring at that damn picture of some chick's ass long enough to look at a knife.

i did it in the oven and started at 550 degrees and went up in 25 degree increments to get the color i wanted. this nice blue was at 625 on this particular piece of damascus. if you have an oven just try this from 550 to say 700 and see what colors happen at what temp.

That's a nice step out from the other slivers I've seen on your site...but I still have a kink for finely finished straight steel too!
