     :) The UPS man just droped off my new surge, and i have to tell yall, it is one sweet tool. It looks like i can take on a bear with the blades, "blows my gerber Diesel away". It has a very nice fit and finish, and my name is laser etched on it. I am still waiting on my Swiss tool RS, and Spirit to get here, to compair it to them, but so far i am very impressed with it. I would post pics on here if someone can tell me how..

Ok i checked my regular mail, and my Spirit was in there. I was suprised on how small of a package the spirit+ ratchet set is. It all fits neatly in its nice leather pouch. Everything on this little gem seems perfect, but i will have to get use to the knife blade.
(The delivery gods where smiling on me today)

The delivery gods are indeed fickle. Best not to anger them, as they could delay your SwissTool a few weeks, or worse, cause it to be "Lost In Transit." (shudder)

You would be well advised to offer a humble prayer of thanks, and perhaps toss a few packing peanuts over your left shoulder whilst marching in place on a piece of bubble wrap. One cannot be too careful.

:) ;) (Congrats on your new toys!)

Congrats on all of your nice, pointy, sharpies.

Seriously, which one do you think you'll EDC? I have a surge, but stuck it away in my BOB due to it's size.

Aawww, you are one spoilt boy today aren't ya?? So, spill it buddy: how do you compare the 3, hmmm?

It would be the RS, and Spirit due to the size, and overall use. The spirit is my fav, but i have to get used to the blade on it. I have the spirit+ratchet, and i was susprised on how small of a package it is. The RS is nice due to the ruler. I love the Surges blades, and pliers, but not too sure of the screwdeiver bits. The larger philips/slotted bit, just does not lock into place all the way, and the saller bit exchanger is a pice,(MHOP).
All in all i realy love the Spirit, and RS the most, and thay will switch out as my EDC.
Dont get me wrong the Surge is very nice, and will be used alot, but lack's the refinment of the other two.

Gee, must be nice to have all three at the same time and all spankin' brand new to boot! Congrats on your new toys, I EDC a Surge (which is all I can afford at the moment) but am seriously considering an RS from all that I've read here.

You guys are causing my wife to give me those funny looks you always get when you tell them your thinking about buying more tools, hehe.

Spaceweaseal is right...Once you have a Victorinox multi-tool there is no turning back. I think the only point that Leatherman has on Victorinox is the 154CM blade in the Charge. That said, I think a small to medium size quality folder combined with the Spirit is the only way to go....at least for me. :)

Plus, the Victorinox products are more fairly priced. This, it appears, is due to the nature of the Victorinox leadership. I read a while back that the leadership there at Victorinox is guided by religious principles (in this case Christianity). According to the interview transcript, this is part of the reason for the high quality and fair prices. Being a Christian myself, this pleases me.

The Spirit is a compact, solid and affordable tool. If you don't have one, get with the FelineVet and get one.

:) :) :)
