Youkon Men is what it's called. I saw a commercial and it looks like a reality series that follows some natives. Anyone know more about it?

What's the one about two dudes driving around the world in a Jeep? One's a mechanical "genius" the other a survival expert. No matter... Survivorman is coming back... 10 day "trips" now... yay.

Hey survivormam is the real deal. When it gets tough he walks out or calls 911.

I meant no disrespect to anyone actually. Maybe my link should have been rephrased to ''here's an original source''. I see it this way for myself. I have my own experiences, gain knowledge from this forum and members and other resources. Forum members with superior knowledge than myself likely gained from Les, Mors, Cody etc. Who in turn were likely given TEK (Tradition Environmental Knowledge) from indigenous peoples. I have been around natives for most of my life and know how some groups interact with their environment. They are people, as good or bad as the rest of us. Some blisteringly bright, others as dumb as a rock. But this is generaly the apex of our outdoor knowledge, from the people that live it day in and day out, all their lives. So I figure that I would rather learn from an indigenous person immersed in the lifestyle as opposed to a show host. Of course I can learn from the TV personality. They probably forgot more than I ever knew. But my choice is to go with local\regional TEK as it helps ME to learn how to survive in MY region. I have to keep an open mind to all options or I will stop learning. But this is the path that interests me the most.
