Rick and I arranged a swap with some work for some work and this is what I got on my end. It's a real beauty. To be honest I was a bit hesitant about getting this sword. Honestly all of the "Lord of the Rings" leafblades that seem to be so prevalent of late are starting to get a bit tiresome to me. However I went ahead with this deal and am very glad I did. Rick does absolutely superb work and this sword is no exception. If any of you are thinking you want something in the fantasy department you might want to take a good hard look at Rick Barrett. Don't tell him that I said :) so but I think he's even been starting to think about historical stuff a bit more since his vist to Albion. Also just as a by the by Rick is a super nice guy to talk to on the phone and I look forward to meeting him at blade this year.

First some statistics:

Rick Barret Fantasy Leafblade

Overall length: 44.5 inches
Blade length: 32.5 inches
Point of Balance: 5 inches
Center of Percussion: 19.5
Weight: 3 lbs
Pommel Type: T fantasy variant
Cross Type: 6 fantasy variant
Blade Type: fantasy leafblade

Performance Review:
This sword handles extremly well for a fantasy piece.
The balance point is a little to far out to make it a truly agile
piece however it still moves and tracks very well. It also performs
very well against light targets.

Appearance:
This sword was designed not just as a performer but also as a work of
art. In this it certainly succeeds. It is a beautiful sword, very
clean with nothing to mar the finish. The short "fuller" has been
left textured and is very well executed.
