Well finally I've made my first tactical something or another. Hell, I had to go to the tactical forum to find out what they were. Us antique bowie guys are slow on the uptake. And, aditionally I'm going to name this model!, yup, just like the big boys. I perused a bunch of sites and posts and saw names like; "Claw", Fang, Terminator, Terminator II chapter 3, Deathwind, Death Breeze, so on and so on". Sooooo, I'm starting my own name dynasty; I'm calling my new model ....
"Red Wasp shook up real good in a Mason Jar and boy is he Mad!"
And I'm limiting this edition to just 1000 pieces! Blade steel of 1084 triple edge quinched sporting a hamon. The "ito" (yup, I've learn't some new fancy Japanese words too) starts with a Turk's head knot guard, (well, sort of a guard) and continues up the handle in the traditional manner, all done in hot red cheap ass stuff from the fabric store! I finished it up with my own "omote" knot (cause I could'nt figure out the diagram so well), and topped it all off with a good coating of "spar finish", a bullet proof varnish used on wooden sail boat masts. A kydex quick draw sheath is to follow; stay tuned....

Way cool knife ;) , been thinking of making the same using HSS planer blades. Trying to get some discards. Nice wrapping on the handle. What are the dimensions?

Absolutely the finest knife name that I've ever run across. Mitch, I like your style. :D Keep up the good work!

Awsome name.......Even better knife!!!!
Where did you learn to wrap that handle?? Working on a little neck knife that would love a handle like that.
