Just acquired a grail watch. Commonly known as the Seiko Marinemaster 300. For those not familiar, this is Seiko's top of the line, Japan only mixed-gas diver, designed to compete with anything from the Swiss. This is a tank of a watch and I'm pretty jazzed about finally getting one.

Great watch. I've been eyeing them for a time myself. There pretty poplular with some of the guys at watchuseek. Looks good with the ZT also.

I've been considering one for years but other watches always made my purchase list instead. Like a Submariner, this is a lifetime (several really) watch if taken care of. So is a $250 Seiko Auto Diver with a 7S36 movt. though - if a person isn't into spending this much money :)

Nice watch....I've always been interested in the higher end Seiko watches, but never took the plunge. I found a great deal on an Omega Seamaster Dive Chrono Perpetual a few years ago, so the Seiko kinda fell off my radar.

Omega's are great watches. I have had many of the Swiss brands and this Seiko is very specialized. I wouldn't shell out the money unless one is very sure of the value and what they're buying. Most need to see one in person and I must say that if more people could handle Seiko's higher offerings the Swiss would sell a few less watches. I have years of experience buying and selling all sorts of watches so this is a natural progression for me so sight unseen wasn't a problem :)
