I want to display this handmade pocket knife made in the little village called Taramundi (north of spain)

This piece its made whith carbon steel forged like 300 years ago. The handles are blond horn whith incrustations of autentic silver and black amber, The principal cilinder is silver . Of course all its hand made by CQ.

The blade is an autentic razor. Every single piece has got an ancient soul culture.

I hope that you like it

This is the ancient forged process in a "fragua" The water of a little river is the energy to work the mill.

I really like that blonde horn handles. With that long bolster it makes a fine contrast to that. The bladeshape is interessting; seems to be a mixture of sheepfoot and droppoint.

Thanks for sharing :)

These are some of my favorite threads. What an elegant and well executed knife!
Thank You so much for sharing with us :)

Fantastic. I'm very drawn to old, handcrafted tools. Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing.

Thank you, playu, for your post. I am loving these regional knives and the simple working life they represent. Great everyday cutting tools with a soul.

playu72,
thank you for your thread and pictures. I discovered Taramundi knives long ago (the first time I visited Spain), but aside from the cultural interest in these knives, most of them don't seem to catch my eye, while (for reasons I have yet to understand) some of them really do.
Your knife is one of them for sure.
Asi que muchas gracias :)

Wow that's beautiful.

I'm not at all familiar with the Spanish regional knives. It seems they get less attention than either the French or Italian designs.

Thank you for sharing and please share more if you have them.

Cheers.
