With me doing less and less back pack camping, I wanted a sturdier, larger tent.
I have been using a Coleman Crestline 4 man tent, but it is getting old, and it is only, at best, a "2.5 Season" model. Earlier this year, I was camping up in Georgia, and when I woke up, the temp inside was 14F. I had a tarp wrapped around, and a blanket between the tent top mesh and the rain fly.
I researched as carefully as I could, and decided on a Eureka Timberline Outfitter 6 tent. This is rated as a four season tent, and is quite heavy duty, using sturdy aluminum poles. It is free standing, and has 6' 3" center height, and 87 square feet of room.
Careful shopping online found one for $90 off the MSRP.
I think I will be happy with this one.
