New thread about ivory laws

Mark: This is a great service for all who care to base their beliefs and actions on facts rather than pure emotion and biased "information". You've been beaten up a lot verbally by well intended but naive institutions and people who seem more interested in making political statements than effecting real change. Focusing on individual transactions will only dilute broader efforts to hit the relatively few big time international bad guys. As a side note, bans on mammoth and old walrus ivory will punish primarily Alaska Natives many of whom have minimal economic opportunities beyond harvest of natural resources, including remains of walrus dead for centuries and more and mammoths dead for millennia. I have one elephant-handled knife and I never intend to sell it so don't really feel like an active player in the game. It's just all so wrong-headed I can hardly stand it. Where we lead, China will not follow. It would be a joke if it weren't so serious a political show for all the wrong reasons, especially for the easy knee jerk state reactions. Thanks, and keep the info flowing.

You bet. I started a new post there, called "Free Ivory Fridays" I will be giving away free ivory on Fridays, Find out how to win by going there.
