Ok, I've been looking for a new throwing hawk...I'm tired of my cheap ones from crazy crow, although I throw them well. I do take them out while hiking and camping also, they kinda serve dual purpose like the Mountain Men used to. I really like the looks of the Firestone throwing hawk, anybody used one? but I'm open to suggestions so give me your ideas.

2 Hawks makes a nice 'thrower', it has even proven itself in competition, not so coincidental is the name....it's the Competition model. Last time I was scanning ebay I saw a couple of guys selling them.

Good luck with your search.

a couple of cheap hawks are a good place to start and practise with, and then move to not quite so beater hawk.

I would look hard at the Cold Steel Trailhawk, that it my preferred one from them. Their Norse hawk is also nice for throwing but not as useful since it has no pole on the back. Then, if you really like the hobby I would buy a higher end one once you know yours likes/needs better.

I've ordered a Firestone and Ragweed, we'll see which one I like better.
I got my first throwing hawk when I was 7...I'm 42 now so I guess it's time to spend some money.
