new thumb grips on sebenzas

Im sure there's a tecnical word for those grippy things on the rear of the blades spine where you rest your thumb.. BUT ANYWAY - I heard that new sebenza'a will sport new "meatier" thumb grips - has anyone seen them or used them? I think I will like the new version as I really like the huge ones on my sng. It will also take away from the sebenza's "refined" gent look - Im not sure whether that's a good thing or bad thing. Anyways Im a little anxious about this as It may give me a good reason to purchase a new seb!

but yes i believe there are newly designed thumb ridges on the blade spine

Crk sent me a new replacement for a 1997 small seb that for some reason they thought it failed there warranty. The new seb had the new thumb ridges. I actually prefer them to the old.
They are really done very well and conform to the elegent look.

I messed up the blade on my large Sebenza (my fault) and the blade needs to be replaced. I put in a request to have the new thumb ramp blade put on the knife. I hope I get it. I'm going to Blade Show West next week and I'm hoping to see one and I am hoping Chris brings a left hand one for me to buy.
