New thumb ramp

Anyone handle or get one of the new sebbies with the new thumb ramp? How does it feel? Does it provide more grip?
 
Yeah, I got one. I like the new look, though, to be honest, I haven't really noticed a great difference in performance.

No problem, thanks for the response Nathan. Does anyone else have pictures. I'm curious to see how the ramp looks.
 
I did a head to head comparison of the new and old style thumb ramps last night. My conclusions? The new style looks better, but the old style works better. The bigger grooves on the new thumb ramp don't give as much purchase under pressure as the narrower (and more numerous) grooves on the old thumb ramp.
 
aww man...you cant do that to us...tell us all about a new sebbie and not show a picture....thats cold...
 
I have a small 2003 Snakewood with the the new serations. IMO it allows you to get a :) better grip on the knife. :eek: ;) :cool:
