New to axe collecting need info on recent purchase please

Huey & Philp was a hardware company in Dallas, beginning in 1872 as a partnership, and becoming a corporation in 1896 (Source: Hardware Dealers' Magazine, Volume 58, p. 318, 1922).

The term "Black Waxey" evidently refers to a type of soil from that region. "Black Waxey" was listed as a brand name for Huey & Philps Hardware Co. in Hardware Age, Volume 172, Issues 1-2, page 1024, , dated 1953.

That's a nice looking axe there.
 
That is identical to the one I purchased today. At first glance I thought it was a Kelley true temper. I paid $3 for it.
