New to Beckers... not to knives

Hey all!

Been lurking at BF for quite a while and have had a great time reading through the threads in this subforum. Looks like a great crew here! I've been wanting to go "Becker" for some time, but hadn't done it (for various reasons). I've owned the majority of bushcraft knives out there on the market (including custom makers) and am always looking for the "next" one.

The opportunity was too good to pass this time. I managed to pickup a BK10 in excellent (won't say new until I see it) condition in trade and decided it was worth the effort. Excited to try an old Camillius Becker... and will venture out from there.

Am I going to get into much trouble if I decide to modify a BK10? :D

The BK10 should be here tomorrow or Thursday!
 
I'm thinking you are safe to mod away :thumbup: I love my Camillius BK-10,pretty sure that you will also.
 
I think it's safe to say that the fellow Becker Bretheren will give their support for your mods. You just have to promise to use it!!
 
Thought I should update... the BK10 came in and I am in LOVE. As promised, I am going to do a bit modding. I have already stripped the coating and am sanding it to a satin finish. Then it is going to receive a cold-bluing. And, finally, some micarta slabs... can't decide if I'm going to go with the KaBar replacements or fab my own. Glad I finally got around to trying these!
