Have always carried a pocket knife. Just ventured into Benchmade.

First buy was a Mini-Osborne: Nice fit and finish. It's S30V and not too hard to sharpen and strop. Very easy pocket EDC option with a "non-threading" look.

Second buy was a Mini-Odamas. This is a mini-tank. It's CRU-Wear and very easy to sharpen and strop. Got it for when I want a more robust pocket EDC.

Happy with these knives.

Benchmade is pricey, but dependable. One of my favorite companies. I always enjoy seeing their innovations for new releases each year.

I've been a huge benchmade fan for a while now. But their prices are pushing closer and closer to full custom knives now so I find myself being very, very picky about what they've got to offer. They are great knives. The qc has never been a problem for me. But the prices are getting to be too much for what they are. 😞

The Mini Adamas is one of my favorite Benchmade designs. I've got all three versions so far: black G10, olive drab G10 and burgundy micarta. And I'm pretty sure I'll be buying the next version in Magnacut with shred carbon fiber, so I guess I'm a Mini Adamas collector at this point. I need to pick up a 945. I have a 940 and it's a great knife too so I suspect I'd like the 945.

There's several other BM designs I can easily recommend. The Super Freek, Mini Crooked River, Bailout, Bugout and Griptilian are great knives.

The BM folders knives that interest me the most are those with aluminum scales or full steel liners. Just re-profiled the edge on my Mini-Odamas using the Benchmade field sharpener. (It came sharp out of the box, but with two different bevels, so I decided to try and make them the same.)

My first modern edc was a 940-1 with the hope that I could just buy one knife.

🤣🤣🤣

I have moved to smaller knives, lock backs and slip joints. The mini Osbourne is one of the causes. I sliced myself fighting it it is so small the tip hit my palm.
